I’ve recently noticed that the Google search bar on my Android device has turned black, and I’m a bit puzzled about why this change has occurred. I’ve done some digging but haven’t found a solid answer, and I’m hoping to get some insights from the community.
Possible Reasons for the Change
Here are a few things I considered that might be causing this:
Dark Mode: I enabled dark mode system-wide, and it seems like the search bar followed suit. Is there a way to revert back to the classic look?
App Update: Did Google roll out an update that changed the appearance of the search bar?
Glitch: It could just be a temporary glitch or something that a reboot might fix.
Troubleshooting Steps I Tried
To tackle this issue, I tried a few things:
Checked the display settings to see if there was a way to toggle dark mode.
Restarted my phone to see if it was just a temporary issue.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Google app but the problem persists.
What I’m Looking For
If anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows if there’s a way to change the search bar’s color back to its original design, I’d really appreciate the help! Also, if there might be settings I haven’t explored yet, please share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance for your advice! Looking forward to your replies.
I noticed my search bar turned black too! It might be due to a theme change. Check your browser settings and see if you can revert to the default theme.
