Odin Stuck on Setup Connection - Need Help!

I’ve been stuck on version 3.13. Should I really update? The last time I did, my phone just went into a boot loop!

Yikes! Sounds rough! Make sure to back everything up this time before updating. Better safe than sorry!

Funny you mention that—my friend made a backup before updating and still faced a boot loop! Isn’t that just the nature of technology? :joy:

I think it’s also about the drivers. Updating them often fixes weird issues like the ‘stuck on setup’ error. Have you checked those, guys?

Good call! Drivers can often go unnoticed. It’s easy to overlook their importance—thanks for the reminder!

I had the same issue with Odin. It turned out that my USB cable was faulty. Switched it out and it worked like a charm!

This isn’t just about cables! I discovered that disabling my antivirus temporarily resolved the connection problem. Just be sure to enable it again afterwards.

I also ran into this issue. Make sure your device is in the correct mode. Sometimes it’s just a matter of toggling between downloading mode and normal!

Exactly, I spent hours trying to figure it out! I finally realized my phone was stuck in the wrong mode. It’s always the little things!

Good point! I found that uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers helped too. Sometimes they just get corrupted.

I once read that using a different USB port on your computer can make a big difference. It actually worked for me, just switching to a USB 2.0 port.

I’ve had mixed results with that. Sometimes it’s best to stick with what works, but I’m glad it helped you!

I had a similar issue and, believe it or not, restarting my computer resolved it. Can’t underestimate a good old reboot!

That’s true! I find myself rebooting more than I’d like. Why do computers have to be so finicky!?

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes the timing matters? Like, I had to connect my device just as Odin was launching to avoid getting stuck.

Interesting point, @jacksongregory. I’ve had similar experiences. It definitely helps to have a routine when setting up those connections.

I sometimes wonder if these issues are more user error than anything else! Am I the only one who feels like technology is out to get us?
