Note 10 Plus vs S23 Ultra: Which One Should I Go For?

I’ve been thinking about upgrading my phone, and I’m considering the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Both phones have their strengths and weaknesses, and I want to get a better understanding of which one would be the better option for my needs.

Performance

  • Note 10 Plus: It has been a reliable workhorse for me. The Snapdragon 855 (or Exynos 9825, depending on the region) runs smoothly, and I haven’t faced any significant lags.
  • S23 Ultra: On the other hand, I’ve heard that the S23 Ultra comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which promises even better performance. Has anyone experienced this in real-world usage?

Camera Quality

  • Note 10 Plus: The camera is pretty solid, especially with its versatility. However, I’ve seen sample shots from the S23 Ultra, and they look stunning.
  • S23 Ultra: The upgraded camera system is a big selling point. What do you all think about the zoom capabilities and low-light performance?

Software and Features

  • Note 10 Plus: I’d miss the S Pen if I switch. It’s been handy for note-taking and sketches.
  • S23 Ultra: Does the S23 Ultra have any features that would make up for not having the S Pen?

Battery Life

  • Note 10 Plus: It has decent battery life but I often find myself looking for a charger by day’s end.
  • S23 Ultra: From what I hear, the battery management system on the Ultra has improved. Can anyone confirm this?

Pricing

  • I know the S23 Ultra is at a higher price point. Is it worth the investment considering the features?

Conclusion

I’m feeling a bit torn here. Any comparisons or personal experiences would really help me make a decision. Thanks in advance for your insights!

I recently upgraded from a Note 10 Plus to the S23 Ultra, and the camera is a game changer! The 200MP sensor captures so much detail, plus the night mode is phenomenal. It’s like night and day, honestly.

That’s really interesting, David! I’ve heard great things about the night mode on the S23 Ultra. How does the zoom compare to the Note 10 Plus?

The zoom on the S23 Ultra is just incredible! With its 10x optical zoom, you can get super close without losing clarity. The Note 10 Plus’s zoom was decent, but it can’t compete with this level of detail.

I’ve also noticed that the photos from the S23 Ultra are sharper under low light. Has anyone tried the macro features?

The macro feature on the S23 Ultra is fantastic! It allows you to get so close to subjects and still keep them in focus. The Note 10 Plus can do macro too, but the results aren’t nearly as impressive.

Nice to hear! I’ve been worried the S23 Ultra might be over-hyped. Anyone have sample photos to share?

I posted some shots on my gallery! Check out the outdoor lighting, they’re vibrant and full of detail. The Note 10 Plus can’t match that capacity. You’ll love the quality! Here’s one: [link to photo]

Awesome, Emily! I’ll check them out. I did love the Note 10 Plus for its camera too; what about the video quality on the S23 Ultra?

Video on the S23 Ultra is stellar! It supports 8K recording which is just wild. The stabilization is also way better than the Note 10 Plus. Great for vlogging or just capturing memories.

8K recording? That’s impressive! I’ve been concerned about price vs features. Is it worth the upgrade?

Honestly, if photography is your thing, the S23 Ultra is definitely worth it! If you’re more casual, the Note 10 Plus still performs great for its price.

That’s good to hear! I’ve had the Note 10 Plus for a while and I love its features. Just can’t decide if I really need that upgrade.

It’s a tough call! If you enjoy taking pictures regularly, those improvements in the S23 Ultra might be enticing. But if you’re comfortable with Note 10 Plus, you might not feel the need to jump yet.

I get why people are loving the S23 Ultra, but does anyone feel that the Note 10 Plus holds up well against it?

Sure, the Note 10 Plus still takes great photos! It just can’t keep up with the advanced features of the S23 Ultra. If you don’t need those features, you may be fine sticking with the Note.

It sounds like the S23 Ultra is really for serious users, but the Note 10 Plus is still a solid choice overall.

Absolutely! The Note 10 Plus might even be like the tortoise: slow but steady! And let’s be honest, its camera is still no slouch. :joy:

I’ve been using the Note 10 Plus for over a year and the battery life is impressive. I usually get around 8-10 hours of screen time with regular use.

That sounds great! How does it handle gaming? I’ve heard mixed reviews about its performance under heavy usage.
