Google Fi VPN Not Connecting - Need Help!

What is L2TP? Is it user-friendly for beginners?

It’s quite easy! Simply go into your settings and add a new VPN connection. The configuration steps are straightforward. Happy to help!

I’ve been having a blast trying to figure out my network settings too! It’s like a puzzle trying to get it all working together.

I totally feel you, @annascott! It’s like tech whack-a-mole. Just when I fix one thing, another falls out of place. But we’ll get there!

Just a reminder: also check if your Google Fi subscription has any restrictions regarding VPN usage. Sometimes it’s not just settings.

That’s a good point. I forgot that could be an issue. Thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know if there are specific settings for split tunneling on Google Fi? I’d love to optimize my VPN usage further.

Good idea, @campbellcrystal! Split tunneling would definitely help with speed. I haven’t figured it out yet, so if anyone knows, please share!

My VPN keeps disconnecting too! Might have to resort to using smoke signals instead. Just kidding, but it’s frustrating!

Haha, @brian13! I can relate! I sometimes joke I need a tech support fairy. But seriously, let’s keep troubleshooting together!

I had similar issues with Google Fi’s VPN. Instead, I switched to NordVPN and have found it much more reliable. The speed is great, and it has way more servers worldwide.

That’s good to hear! I’ve been considering NordVPN. How’s the connection speed when you’re browsing?

I second the motion on NordVPN. It’s super user-friendly, and I haven’t faced connectivity issues yet. Unlike Google Fi’s integrated VPN, which sometimes feels spotty.

Has anyone tried ExpressVPN? I heard it performs really well, especially for streaming. Just curious how it compares to NordVPN!

I use ExpressVPN! The speeds are excellent, and it works on multiple devices without a hitch. Plus, their customer support is top-notch.

I tried it briefly, and honestly, I was impressed. The price is a bit higher than some options, but the performance justifies it.

I’ve been using Surfshark lately. It’s quite affordable and allows unlimited devices. It has worked better for me than Google Fi’s in-built VPN, to be honest.

Surfshark sounds interesting! Do you notice any slowdowns when streaming or gaming?

Not at all! Surfshark has maintained good speeds for me, even while gaming. It’s been a straightforward experience compared to Google Fi’s service.

What about the privacy policies of these third-party VPNs? I want something that keeps my data safe without breaking the bank.
