Yes, the Moto G Play does support tap to pay! I’ve had a decent experience with Google Pay. Just make sure NFC is enabled in the settings.

I had the same issue, john52. Occasionally, I have to tap a few times for it to work. It can be frustrating in a busy store!
I figured it out! If you hold your phone too close to the terminal, it sometimes gets confused. I’ve started holding it a few inches away and it works every time now!

I had a hiccup once while trying to use it. I was in line, and when I tapped, my phone asked for a PIN! It was so awkward. Anyone else had that happen?

Yes! That’s why I didn’t use it at first. I thought it would be seamless, but it sometimes requires authorization.
Sometimes it feels like we just traded one inconvenience for another! Even a quick PIN entry can feel annoying when you’re in a rush. But hey, at least we’re moving forward, right?
