I’m running into a frustrating problem with my Wi-Fi connection on my Android phone. My phone shows that it is connected to the Wi-Fi network, but there’s no internet access. I’ve tried a few things, but I’m still stuck and looking for some guidance on how to fix this issue.
Troubleshooting Steps Attempted
Restarted my phone – Sometimes a simple restart can do wonders.
Forget and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network – Went into settings, forgot the network, and re-entered the password. Still no luck.
Checked the router – Restarted the router to see if there was an issue on that end, but other devices are accessing the internet just fine.
Airplane mode toggle – Turned on airplane mode for a minute, then turned it off. No improvement.
Reset network settings – I reset the network settings on my phone, hoping that would fix any underlying issues. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
What I Need Help With
I’m at a bit of a loss here. Could this be a DNS issue? If it helps, I’ve been using Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) on my phone, but I’m not sure if that’s the right approach for mobile devices.
If anyone has experienced this issue or has suggestions on what else I might try, I’d greatly appreciate it! Reference links or detailed instructions would be super helpful too. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!
