Why won't my charger go in my phone? Help needed!

I’ve been having a frustrating issue with my phone lately, and I’m hoping someone here can help me out. My charger won’t go into my phone’s charging port, and it seems like no matter how I try to insert it, it just doesn’t fit right. I’m not sure if it’s a compatibility issue, something stuck in the port, or maybe even damage to my phone.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Inspecting the charging port: I took a good look at the port, and it doesn’t seem to be damaged, but I noticed a bit of dust and lint. I tried to clean it out with a toothpick carefully, but it still doesn’t seem to work.
  • Using a different charger: To rule out a charger issue, I used another charger that I know works with other devices. No luck there either.
  • Restarting my phone: Sometimes a simple restart does wonders, but that didn’t change anything regarding the charging port.

Potential issues I’m considering:

  • Dirt or debris: I’ve read that sometimes lint or dirt can block the connection. Is there a safe way to clean it if it is still dirty?
  • Port alignment: Could the port be misaligned or damaged internally, and if so, what’s the best course of action?
  • Compatibility: Is it possible that my charger somehow isn’t compatible with my phone, even if it seemed right?
