Why is Royal Match Automatically Installed on My Android?

Seeking Advice on Automatic Installations

Hey everyone!

I recently noticed that Royal Match was automatically installed on my Android device, and I have no idea how it happened. Initially, I thought it might have been a mistake or a rogue app. I’m really not a fan of automatic installations, especially for games, because they can clutter my phone and consume memory without me even realizing!

Here are some things I’ve considered:

  1. Play Store Settings: I checked my Google Play Store settings to see if there’s an option that might allow apps to automatically install without my consent. I’d like to disable that feature if it exists.

  2. Third-party Apps: I’m also wondering if there are any third-party apps that might have triggered this. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Any suggestions on which apps to look out for?

  3. Permissions and Android Features: I’m not so tech-savvy when it comes to Android settings. Does anyone know how to safely navigate through the permissions or if there’s a place where I can view what apps are allowed to auto-install?

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  • I’ve uninstalled Royal Match, but it seems to reappear.
  • Looked into app management options, but wouldn’t mind some tips from others who might have dealt with this issue.

Questions:

  • Is this a common occurrence with the game, or just a one-off?
  • How can I ensure that it doesn’t happen again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I really want to take charge of my apps and keep my device organized. Thank you!

I’ve noticed Royal Match being installed without my permission too! To remove it, go to Settings > Apps, find Royal Match, and select ‘Uninstall’. Make sure to check for any related apps as well.

Thanks for the tip! After uninstalling, I also recommend using an app like CCleaner to remove any residual files that might be left behind.

I had a similar experience! I uninstalled it, but it kept showing up in my notifications. I had to clear cache and data from the app before it stopped popping up.

Clearing the cache is crucial! Go to Settings > Storage > Cached Data and clear it. That’s helped with preventing apps from coming back.

What about uninstalling the Play Store updates? I heard that it could help with unwanted apps like this. Has anyone tried it?

I’ve tried uninstalling Play Store updates before, but it doesn’t seem to work with all apps. I think using a good antivirus app can help avoid automatic installations in the first place.

For those who are struggling, just remember to check your installed apps regularly. I caught Royal Match before it bloated my phone with residual data. Stay vigilant!

Totally agree! I use Malwarebytes, and it’s done wonders in keeping my device clear of these sneaky apps.

Is it possible that the game was bundled with another app I downloaded? I’ve heard of that happening with other games.

It’s very possible! Always read the permissions and what other apps are being installed alongside the main app you’re looking for. You never know what sneaks in.

I wish I had a dollar for every unwanted app I’ve had installed. You’d think they might have learned by now that users don’t appreciate this behavior!

Right? It’s like a game of unwanted app whack-a-mole! You get rid of one, and another pops up!

The only accessory I want with my phone is a case, not an unwanted game! If only uninstalling could be as easy as attaching a new case! :joy:

Haha, exactly! They should make it that easy! But seriously, don’t forget to check app settings too; sometimes there are options to disable auto-install.

Looking back, I’ve learned that what you download matters. Be cautious and use trusted sources! Has anyone had success with preventing these auto installs?

I try to check user reviews and ratings before I download anything. It helps highlight which apps might come bundled with junk. Stay informed!

I’ve seen Royal Match show up on devices unexpectedly too. It usually comes from downloading other apps. Check your app permissions to limit installations.

That’s a good point! Make sure you review your app permissions regularly, especially when installing new apps.

You can also turn off the ‘Install unknown apps’ option in your settings. This might help prevent unwanted apps from sneaking in.
