I’ve been struggling with Google RCS (Rich Communication Services) on my Android device lately, and I’m hoping to get some help from you all. It seems that my messaging isn’t sending or receiving properly, and the RCS features I’ve come to love just aren’t available anymore.
What I’ve Tried So Far:
Checked Compatibility: Verified that my device supports RCS and that my carrier offers it.
Updated Messages App: Made sure I’m running the latest version of Google Messages.
Cleared Cache and Data: Cleared the app’s cache and data to reset it.
Checked Internet Connection: Ensured I have a stable data or Wi-Fi connection, as RCS needs it to work.
Enabled Chat Features: Went into settings to ensure that Chat Features are turned on.
Still No Luck…
Despite all this, RCS still seems to be hit or miss, and I’m not sure what else to do. I’ve seen other users online mentioning similar issues, so I guess I’m not alone.
Seeking Your Advice
If anyone has faced this issue or knows a workaround, I would really appreciate your insights. Is there something I’m missing? Could this be a carrier-side problem? Any help would be fantastic!

I had the same issue! Sometimes it’s just a connectivity problem. Make sure your mobile data or Wi-Fi is working properly before diving into other settings.
