I’ve been having a frustrating issue with my Samsung S21 where the messaging app keeps crashing on me. It’s really annoying since I use it all the time to stay in touch with friends and family.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Restarting my phone: Sometimes a simple restart can do wonders.
Updating the app: I made sure that the messaging app is updated to the latest version available in the Play Store.
Clearing the cache and data: I went into the settings and cleared the cache for the messaging app.
Freeing up storage: I checked if I had enough storage left on my device, and it looks good.
Still haven’t found a fix!
Even after trying all of this, the app shuts down unexpectedly whenever I try to send a message. Sometimes it closes as soon as I open it, which is incredibly frustrating. I’d like to hear from anyone who might have experienced this issue or knows how to troubleshoot it.
Questions I have:
Is this a common issue with the S21, or is it just my device?
Are there any settings that I might have overlooked?
Should I consider a factory reset, or are there safer options?
Any advice or steps I could take to fix this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
My S21 messaging app has been crashing too! I found that clearing the cache often helps. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage, and clear the cache.
I had the same issue when my S21 updated last week. Sometimes, the new software is not compatible with certain apps. Have you checked for updates for your messaging app?
