Why does my Android music player stop after each song? Need help!

Problem Overview

I’ve been having this frustrating experience with my Android music player lately. It seems to stop playback after finishing each song, and it’s becoming really annoying! I’m not sure if this is a bug with the app I’m using or if there’s a setting I need to adjust. Anyone else facing this issue?

Details

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy S21
  • Music Player App: Google Play Music (but I’ve tried a few others with the same result)

Things I’ve Tried:

  1. Restarting the App: Sometimes closing the app and restarting it helps, but unfortunately, it hasn’t solved this issue.
  2. Checking Settings: I’ve looked through all the settings in the app to see if there’s a feature that controls whether playback stops at the end of a song.
  3. Reinstalling the App: I even went as far as to uninstall and reinstall the app to see if that would fix the problem.

Questions:

  • Is this a common problem with certain music player apps?
  • Are there specific music players anyone can recommend that allow continuous playback without stopping?
  • Could it be a compatibility issue with my device or the operating system?

Additional Thoughts

I really enjoy my music and love discovering new playlists, but this stopping thing is really killing my vibe. I’d appreciate any guidance or solutions anyone might have. Let’s work together to solve this!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve faced this issue too! Sometimes it helps to clear the app cache. Go to Settings, then Apps, find your music player, and clear cache. It can resolve those annoying stops.

Great tip! Also, make sure your playlists aren’t corrupted. Sometimes a bad file can cause the player to stop unexpectedly.

Have you checked if your music player is up to date? Updates can fix bugs that lead to songs stopping. Check in the Google Play Store!

Yeah, definitely update! I had this issue with my player, and after an update, it worked perfectly. It’s like magic!

I updated but it still happens! I think it might be a glitch in the app itself.

I can relate to that frustration. Have you tried using a different music player app? Sometimes switching can fix the issue. I switched to a lightweight player and haven’t looked back!

What a great suggestion! I’ve used several players, and some handle files better than others. The one I use now works without issues!

I don’t think I want to switch, but it’s definitely an option I might explore.

This might sound silly, but sometimes just restarting your phone can help. I’ve had apps misbehave, and a simple restart fixed everything!

I tried restarting my phone but still had issues. It’s definitely a strange problem!

If you’re feeling adventurous, consider a factory reset. Just make sure to back everything up first! It helped me once when nothing else worked.

Factory reset? Yikes! That’s a last resort for me. I’ll keep that in mind, though!

Honestly, I think some music players just have bugs. My friend jokes that they stop to let you appreciate the song before moving on!

I’ve had the same issue with my Android music player! It really bothers me. Have you checked for updates or settings that might affect playback?

I’ve found that switching to Poweramp really helped with playback issues! It has great features and allows for seamless song transitions.

Poweramp is cool, but have you tried Blackplayer? It’s lightweight and doesn’t crash after songs. Plus, it has a nice interface!

I was using Poweramp, but sometimes it felt a bit heavy on resources. Tried VLC instead—no stopping issues and I love the customization!

VLC is great, but does anyone else feel like the interface is a bit dated? I really enjoy the aesthetics of newer players. Just curious!

I get that! That’s why I’m using Musicolet. It’s simple, ad-free, and visually appealing!
