You might want to check your privacy settings! If your account is set to private, only approved followers can message you. Go to Settings > Privacy > Messages to tweak those settings.

Also, have you checked if you accidentally restricted someone? Sometimes it’s easy to miss. Go to the ‘Restricted Accounts’ section in your privacy settings.

I’ve had issues like this before! Sometimes it helps to log out and log back in again, which can reset those pesky glitches!

Just keep in mind that not everyone can message you directly due to those settings. Reflect on who you want to communicate with and adjust accordingly!
