What does the circle with a line through it mean on my Samsung phone?

Same here! Just couldn’t shake it off until I checked my settings. Hope you find a solution!

I ended up resetting my app preferences after trying everything else. It worked! Just be sure to back everything up first.

That sounds drastic! But sometimes that’s what it takes. I’ll consider it if nothing else works.

It’s funny how just a little icon can cause so much stress! If only it could let us know what it wants.

Right?! Maybe it just wants some attention! :joy:

I noticed that circle with a line through it means ‘Do Not Disturb.’ It’s so annoying when I miss out on important messages because of that! Anyone else feel the frustration?

Absolutely! I had a meetup scheduled and didn’t get any alerts because of that icon. Why is it even so easy to turn on by mistake?

What’s really frustrating is that I had no idea what that icon meant until my phone battery died. Everything was muted! Support should really make that clearer.

I agree with you, blackburnmary! It should definitely be more noticeable. I end up toggling settings without knowing. How do I even turn it off easily?

To turn it off, just swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the moon icon. I was confused too at first!

Thanks for that tip, smithrobert! It’s still surprising how such a little icon can cause so many missed messages. I’ve almost missed my family dinner!

I feel like the icon should come with a warning label! I’ve dealt with ridiculous situations because of it, too.

Totally! I once missed a call from my boss about a promotion because I was oblivious to that icon. It’s infuriating!

Definitely a bummer! I sometimes just laugh it off, like ‘Oops, my phone is in silent mode again.’ Still, it’s embarrassing, haha.

Haha, moorejacob! I’d rather be embarrassed than miss out on actual communication. This has to get better. Has anyone found a permanent solution?

I keep the Do Not Disturb mode off most of the time, but sometimes I accidentally turn it on during meetings. Honestly, it’s just a hassle.

It’s all about those habits! I try to check my settings regularly now, but it’s still hard to keep track of it all with all these notifications.
