What Does the Button on the S Pen Actually Do?

I’ve recently started using the S Pen with my Samsung Galaxy device, and I keep hearing about this mysterious button on the S Pen. I’m curious about its functionalities!

What Can the Button Do?

From what I understand, the button on the S Pen can perform several actions depending on the app you’re using. Here are a few that I’ve heard of:

  • Taking Screenshots: While using your device, you can press the button to take a screenshot without having to fumble around for the volume and power buttons.
  • Air Actions: Some models allow for Air Gestures, meaning you can control certain apps from a distance by waving the S Pen around. Is this true for all Galaxy devices?
  • Launching Apps: You might be able to assign specific applications to the button for quick access.

How Does It Work with Different Apps?

I’d love to hear from others who have experience with the S Pen.

  • Do certain apps have better functionality with the button?
  • Are there customization options that allow you to set what the button does?
