Unable to Activate WiFi Calling - Need Help!

I recently tried to enable Wi-Fi calling on my Android phone, but I keep getting the message ‘unable to activate wifi calling at this time.’ I’ve checked all my settings and even tried restarting my device, but nothing seems to work.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  • Made sure that Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to a stable network.
  • Verified that my device supports Wi-Fi calling.
  • Confirmed that my service provider allows Wi-Fi calling on my plan.
  • Updated my phone to the latest software version.
  • Reset network settings and checked if it helped.

Questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
If so, what steps did you take to resolve it?
  2. Are there specific settings I might have missed?
Any tips on enabling this feature would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Could there be a compatibility issue with my device?
If you think this might be the case, please let me know.

I’d love to hear any troubleshooting steps or advice from anyone who has been through this. Thank you in advance for your help!

I’m really struggling with the ‘unable to activate WiFi calling’ message too. Has anyone found a solution?

I feel you! I had the same issue. Try resetting your network settings. It worked for me!

Resetting network settings is a good start. Also, check if your carrier supports WiFi calling in your area. That made a difference for me!

I had to turn off WiFi for a bit and then turn it back on. It sounds simple, but it resolved my issue immediately!

Good point about carrier support! Make sure that your account is enabled for WiFi calling.

Have you tried updating your phone’s software? I remember a similar situation where an outdated software caused the problem for me.

Updating software and resetting network settings really helped me! Also, try toggling airplane mode on and off. Sometimes, it clears up weird bugs.

I’ve done all the above and it’s still not working! Ugh, so frustrating!

Hang in there, kelsey68! Have you contacted customer support? They may have additional troubleshooting steps tailored to your specific issue.

Why is it always the simplest things that cause the most trouble? It’s like WiFi calling is the high-maintenance friend no one wants!

Haha, right?! But seriously, I think a part of our problem is the wifi signals themselves. Are you near your router?

That’s so true! But even if I’m next to the router, it still doesn’t activate. I wish there was an easy way to troubleshoot this.

Have you considered factory resetting your phone? I know it’s a hassle, but it might just do the trick.

I’m having the same issue! I have an iPhone 11, and I can’t seem to activate WiFi calling either. What model are you using?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20. I’ve read that WiFi calling should work on this device, but I can’t find the setting anywhere!

Make sure you check your settings under ‘Connections’ > ‘WiFi Calling’. Sometimes it needs to be toggled on manually!

I’ve looked there, but it seems like it’s not even showing up as an option. Could it be a carrier issue?

Yes, it could definitely be a carrier thing! Not all carriers support WiFi calling on all devices.

I’m on T-Mobile and that should support WiFi calling. I contacted their support, but they said my device isn’t eligible. Any tips?
