My phone's not vibrating for texts—help!

Good point! I remember my friend had to reset his device after an update stopped his notifications completely.

Also, consider trying a factory reset as a last resort. This can eliminate software issues that might be causing problems.

I would advise against a factory reset unless absolutely necessary! It can be a hassle to set everything back up again. Try other solutions first!

Could it be a bad vibration motor? If your phone feels a bit off in terms of performance, that might be it. It could be time for a trip to the repair shop!

That’s pretty likely if you’ve already tried the settings and updates. Sometimes trying out different apps can help isolate the issue too!

Don’t forget to check if your do-not-disturb mode is on! It can silence all vibrations while it’s active.

Seriously, I once missed an important call because I had mine enabled. It’s a simple fix but worth checking!

If you’re feeling adventurous, try shaking your phone gently. Sometimes the motors get stuck, and a little movement can help! Just don’t throw it!

Haha, not sure I’d recommend a phone shake, but it might work! Check under the settings first.

I wonder if other users noticed this issue after a specific update? It might not just be your phone if that’s the case.

Yeah, updates can be a double-edged sword. They fix bugs but can also introduce new ones! It’s always a gamble.

Just reflecting on my past experiences, I had a phone that lost its vibration capabilities. Eventually, I found out that it was a hardware issue, but it was a headache diagnosing it!

That’s a bummer! It sounds like a lot of users face this issue. Keep us updated on what you find out!

Have you checked the notification settings in your default SMS app? Sometimes, vibration is disabled by default. Try going to Settings > Notifications > Messages.

Also, if you’re using apps like WhatsApp, go to Settings > Notifications in the app and make sure vibration is turned on there too.

Don’t forget about Messenger! There’s a separate setting for vibrations under Notifications & Sounds. Ensure that’s enabled as well!

Totally agree! Each app can have unique settings, so it’s worth checking each one individually.

Lately, I’ve noticed that apps might override the default phone vibration settings. Sometimes, reinstalling the app can help reset settings back to default.

Good point! It can be frustrating, but it could be a simple solution.

Have you recently updated any of your apps? Sometimes updates can reset settings. Try checking if everything is still set as you like.
