I’ve been facing a frustrating issue with my Android phone lately. While I can still receive incoming calls without any problem (my phone rings just fine!), I’m finding that my text messages just aren’t delivering.
Here’s what’s happening:
Incoming Calls Work: When someone calls me, my phone rings and I can speak to them without any issue.
Text Messages: However, when people send me texts, they don’t seem to arrive. I’ve checked with my contacts and they say they sent the messages, but I don’t receive anything.
Tried Restarting: I’ve tried restarting my phone a few times just to see if that would help. It didn’t change anything.
App Issues: I primarily use the default messaging app on my device, but I’m wondering if there’s a problem with the app itself.
I’m looking for help with troubleshooting:
Settings: Are there specific settings I should look into?
Network Issues: Could this be a network issue, and if so, how do I confirm that?
Software Problems: Is there a chance this is a software glitch? If so, what steps should I take next?
Additional Info:
Android Version: I’m using Android 11, which I believe is the latest version.
Phone Model: It’s a Samsung Galaxy S20.
Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! I just want to get my messaging working again without missing important texts.
I experienced something similar last week. It turned out to be a temporary network outage with my provider. They fixed it in a couple of hours. Have you tried checking with your carrier?
I faced this issue because of a weak signal at my workplace. My phone would ring, but messages wouldn’t deliver until I stepped outside. It’s frustrating!
Wi-Fi calling can be a lifesaver! I had to activate it during a trip to a rural area because I couldn’t get any bars. Now, I use it everywhere! Have you checked those settings?
Looks like network congestion might be a culprit too. I noticed my messages lag when everyone in my apartment complex is online. Anyone else notice this?
I had a similar issue! Check your notifications settings as well. If they’re turned off for the messaging app, you may not even realize when messages come in.
