Looking for an Android Keyboard with Easy Number Input

Seeking Help with Number Input on Android

Hey folks, I’m on a bit of a mission to find an Android keyboard that makes entering numbers super easy. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of note-taking and data entry on my phone, and the standard keyboard just isn’t cutting it for me, especially when I need to type out a bunch of numbers quickly.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Numeric Keypad Support: Ideally, I want a keyboard that has a dedicated numeric keypad for faster input.
  • Customization Options: I’m hoping to find something that allows me to customize the layout to better fit my needs.
  • Efficiency Features: Any suggestions for keyboards that have features designed to speed up number entry would be great, like shortcuts or predictive text for numbers.

I’ve tried a few popular ones, but I’m curious about other people’s experiences. What keyboards do you recommend for improving number input efficiency? Any insights or tips would be appreciated!

Looking forward to your replies!

If you’re looking for an Android keyboard with a dedicated number row, I recommend trying Gboard. It has a clean interface and easy number input, which is great for quick calculations.

Gboard is solid, but I’ve also had good experiences with SwiftKey. It also allows customization and has a dedicated number row.

SwiftKey is nice, but I found its number row to be a bit cramped. The Samsung Keyboard is my go-to for large number input—lots of space!

Interesting! I’ve never used the Samsung Keyboard. Does it offer good predictive text too?

Yes, the Samsung Keyboard has excellent predictive text! Plus, you can easily switch between letters and numbers. Highly recommend it for efficiency.

I appreciate having the numbers at the top, but I’ve also customized my Gboard to show a number pad when needed. It’s all about personal preference, I suppose!

Good to know! I’m curious—how do you customize Gboard for number inputs?

You can enable ‘Number Row’ in the Gboard settings! Just go to Preferences and toggle it on. Super simple!

It’s interesting how different keyboards handle number input! I tried one that lacked an easy way to switch, and it was a pain during my grocery list.

Absolutely! If you frequently use numbers, avoid those keyboards without customization options. It makes tasks easier.

Lol, I once used a keyboard that made entering my phone number near impossible. Fun times… not!

Hah! I feel you! Have you found a reliable one since?

For me, Gboard remains the best for ease of use and number input. I’ve tried a few, but keep going back to it.

Gboard seems to be a favorite! But I still wonder if anyone has tried alternative keyboards like AnySoftKeyboard? How does it compare?

AnySoftKeyboard is great for those who want customization and features that suit more niche needs, including number input.

Interesting points! At the end of the day, the choice of keyboard can really affect how smoothly we can input numbers. Stick with what feels right for you!

I’ve been struggling with number input on my keyboard too! Sometimes the numbers just won’t show up. Have you checked your keyboard settings?

Same here! I often find that switching to another keyboard app helps. Have you tried Gboard? It has great number input functionalities.

Gboard is definitely a good option! I’ve had some issues with SwiftKey myself, especially with number input. It’s worth switching it up if you’re having problems.
