Looking for a Call Block App That Shows My Phone is Disconnected

I’ve been on the hunt for a call block app that does something unique: it needs to not only block incoming calls but also show the caller that my phone is disconnected. I’m trying to limit distractions and avoid unwanted interruptions from calls while I’m working.

Why I Need This Feature

Managing my focus when I’m busy can be tough, and I’m sure many of you can relate. Constant calls can be a disruption, so I want something that effectively blocks them. But I also want callers to think my phone is off or disconnected rather than just going to voicemail. It adds an extra layer of peace of mind knowing that they won’t keep trying.

What I’ve Tried So Far

I’ve looked into a few apps, but many just send calls to voicemail or show the phone as busy. Here are a couple I tried:

  • Truecaller: Great for identifying numbers and blocking spam, but it doesn’t have the disconnected feature.
  • Call Blocker: It blocks unwanted calls but simply sends normal calls to voicemail.

What I’m Looking For

I ideally want an app that can:

  1. Block calls effectively.
  2. Provide an outgoing message or tone that gives the impression my phone is disconnected.
  3. Be user-friendly and not drain my battery.
  4. Maybe have some options for customization (like giving certain contacts a bypass).

I’ve been using Call Blocker Pro. It doesn’t show disconnected status, but the call identification is solid. Anyone else tried it?

I doubt they all do an adequate job. Some apps feel outdated. It’s a major pain when you still get spam calls!

I’m pretty sure you’re not alone in facing this issue. Many call block apps let your phone create the illusion of being disconnected, but the message usually shows up for some users. Have you checked the app settings for anything related to messaging?

Good point! Sometimes these settings can hide the option. I found that enabling ‘Do Not Disturb’ might help as well.

I had the same problem with my app showing disconnection messages. If you go into the notification settings, you might be able to turn off those alerts specifically.
