Is YouTube Music Down?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having some issues with my YouTube Music app lately, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s just me or if there’s something bigger at play. It seems like whenever I try to play a song, I either get buffering, or the app just crashes altogether.

Possible Issues

Here are a few things I’ve noticed that might be causing the trouble:

  • Connection Problems: My internet seems fine, but the app still stalls. Anyone else experiencing buffering?
  • App Updates: I’ve noticed that the app updated not too long ago. Has anyone else had issues since the latest update?
  • Device Specifics: I’m on an Android phone, so could it be device-related? If you’re using something different, let me know!

What I’ve Tried

  1. Restarting the App: Closed and reopened multiple times.
  2. Checking for Updates: Made sure my app and phone software are up to date.
  3. Internet Speed Test: Ran a test and my speed is good.

I noticed YouTube Music has been acting up today. I keep getting the ‘Playback Error’ message. Is it just me, or is everyone having issues?

Yes! I just got that message too! It’s super frustrating because I was in the middle of my workout playlist.

Same here! I was trying to stream some podcasts and it just keeps buffering. This is so annoying!

I was able to get a few songs to play, but the audio quality keeps dropping out. Anyone else experiencing that?

Exactly, Candice! The audio quality is so inconsistent right now. Makes it hard to enjoy the music.

I just assumed it was my Wi-Fi acting up! But since others are having trouble too, it must be a bigger issue.

Agreed! It shouldn’t be this difficult to listen to music. I’m feeling quite frustrated!

I think it might be. I read on Twitter that a lot of users are reporting similar problems. So maybe wait it out?

Same problem here! I got the infamous ‘Error 400’ message, which is just lovely. Can’t someone fix this already?

Yes! It seems like it’s down more often than Spotify or Apple Music, which are usually more reliable.

YouTube Music’s outages can be so frustrating! I’ve noticed it happening at least once a month, but Spotify rarely goes down.

I don’t think the outages hit users the same way each time. Some folks hardly notice while others are really upset about it.
