I’ve been trying to enhance my reading experience on the Kindle app for Android by using the Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature. However, I’m having a hard time figuring out how to enable it or even if it’s available for all books.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
I checked the settings in the app, but couldn’t find anything regarding TTS.
I did some searches online, and while I found discussions about using TTS on Kindle devices, I couldn’t find much specific to the Android app.
Questions:
Does anyone know if TTS is supported in the Kindle app for Android?
If it’s available, how can I activate it?
Are there particular settings or permissions I need to enable?
I’ve seen other apps support TTS features and it’s super helpful, especially for making reading more accessible. I’m really hoping to find a way to use this functionality in the Kindle app. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
To enable TTS in the Android Kindle app, go to your device’s settings, then find Accessibility options and turn on ‘TalkBack’. After that, open a book in Kindle and swipe down to have the text read aloud.
That’s a great start! Also, make sure to explore the voice options in the accessibility settings. You can choose different voices, which can make a big difference in how enjoyable the reading experience is!
I’ve found that TTS can be a bit robotic on some settings. I usually adjust the speech rate to make it sound more natural. Has anyone else experienced this?
Glad to see so many tips being shared! Best part is, I feel like a TTS expert already. It’s about time Kindle incorporated more features for audiobooks!
