If you ask me, I think the Android experience should be about simplicity. I don’t need the date or even the weather cluttering my home screen.

You could always just use wallpaper that covers the date! I mean, why not just mask it with some cool design?

You might need to remove the clock widget itself if the date is tied to it. Long press the widget, and see if you can delete or edit it!

Restoring widgets is usually simple! Just add them back from the widget menu. But make sure you know which ones you like to avoid clutter!

I was hesitant to switch launchers, but it can give you much more control. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve!
