I feel you, @xjohns. It’s like Apple wants everything uniform, but it’s frustrating for power users. A small volume control tweak wouldn’t hurt.
You know what makes me laugh? Sometimes it feels like we want to get rid of the volume bar just to add more apps to our clean screen! What a paradox!

It allows you to hide the volume bar entirely! Plus, it has customizable themes. If you want an upgrade, this is the way to go!

I totally get you! I had that issue too. Sometimes a simple restart of the device does the trick for me!
If the volume bar doesn’t disappear after a while, check your accessibility settings. Sometimes, touch feedback settings might cause it to cling on the screen.

I’ve had volume control issues due to software bugs. If you’re using an older version, consider updating your OS. That might resolve the problem.
I’ve also found that reinstalling the audio drivers helps sometimes. Anyone else tried that?
