Haha, same here! I think my phone just enjoys being in stealth mode full time!
To enable dark mode in Google Discover, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme. It should automatically apply to Discover too!

I’ve had the same problem, Jonathon! Sometimes I have to toggle it off and on again to get it to stick. Very annoying!
A common fix is to clear the cache of the Google app. Go to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear Cache. That might help with the sticking issue.

Reinstalling might help, but it’s a hassle. I’d recommend that as a last resort if clearing the cache doesn’t work. Got to keep it simple!
Definitely! Plus, if you reinstall, you might lose your settings. Not worth it unless necessary. Anyone else have funny experiences trying to get it to work?
I once switched to dark mode, and my phone’s brightness settings went crazy! I had to adjust my screen brightness a dozen times. 
Wow, that’s wild! Dark mode should be helping us, not making it more complicated. Truly a roller coaster!
