How to Enable Dark Mode in Google Discover on Android?

Haha, same here! I think my phone just enjoys being in stealth mode full time!

To enable dark mode in Google Discover, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme. It should automatically apply to Discover too!

Thanks for the tip! It worked for me, but I’ve noticed that sometimes it doesn’t stick. Anyone else facing that issue?

I’ve had the same problem, Jonathon! Sometimes I have to toggle it off and on again to get it to stick. Very annoying!

A common fix is to clear the cache of the Google app. Go to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear Cache. That might help with the sticking issue.

You guys! I thought I was the only one. Thanks for the tips! I will try clearing the cache next time it acts up.

That’s a great suggestion! I should give that a shot before getting more frustrated. Has anyone tried reinstalling the app?

Reinstalling might help, but it’s a hassle. I’d recommend that as a last resort if clearing the cache doesn’t work. Got to keep it simple!

Definitely! Plus, if you reinstall, you might lose your settings. Not worth it unless necessary. Anyone else have funny experiences trying to get it to work?

I once switched to dark mode, and my phone’s brightness settings went crazy! I had to adjust my screen brightness a dozen times. :joy:

Wow, that’s wild! Dark mode should be helping us, not making it more complicated. Truly a roller coaster!
