Has anyone tried using third-party apps? Sometimes the built-in features can disappoint, but alternatives are often better!
I did, but they kept crashing! Samsung’s own app at least seems stable, even if it’s not perfect.
Anyone know how to make the removal tool more effective? It often leaves a faint trace of red around the eyes.
Try adjusting the brightness and contrast before using the tool. It can help in getting clearer results.
I just keep retouching until it’s right! Not the most efficient, but it works. Anyone else patient enough to do that?
I thought I was the only one doing that! Sometimes the simplest methods are the most effective, even if they take a while.
Is there a way to disable the auto-enhance feature? It just messes with my editing sometimes, especially after red-eye removal!
Yes! You can find that option in your camera settings. Just toggle it off for the editing phase.
I never realized how common these issues were until this thread! Glad to know I’m not alone. Any other hacks or workarounds?
At this point, I’ve learned to just take multiple shots. Sometimes a good one comes out without red-eye at all!
That’s true! The more options you have, the better chance for a great photo. It’s all about luck sometimes.
Samsung’s red eye removal tool works fairly well, but I found it doesn’t always catch the light perfectly. I’ve had better results on my iPhone 12.
I totally agree! The auto-fix feature is a bit hit or miss. My Google Pixel’s feature seems to work better overall.
Interesting points! I actually find that Samsung’s red eye fix is quick and easy for basic edits. It might not be the best, but it gets the job done for casual users.
Isn’t it funny how something as simple as red eye removal can vary so much between brands? Sometimes I wonder if it’s just because we’re used to our own devices.
It is definitely user-friendly! But does anyone else feel like the resolution drops a bit after using it?
I’ve had some funny moments trying to adjust red eye on my Samsung. The faces sometimes look cartoonish! Perhaps I should stick to manual editing.
I think the effectiveness really varies with lighting conditions. On my Samsung Galaxy S21, it has been pretty reliable, even in dim light.
That’s great to hear! Mine is the S20, and it doesn’t seem to perform as well. Maybe I need to update my software.
I don’t have a Samsung, but my Huawei does a decent job removing red eye. The interface is a bit clunky, though, compared to Samsung’s.
