Galaxy Buds Not Charging - Need Help!

Issue Description

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’m having trouble with my Galaxy Buds not charging properly, and I’d love some troubleshooting tips or advice from anyone who has experienced a similar issue.

I’ve tried the standard steps like making sure the charging case is plugged in and the connection is good. However, no matter what I do, my buds just won’t charge. Here are a few details that might help:

  • The case lights up when I put the buds in, indicating they should be charging.
  • I’ve checked the charging pins, and they seem clean but I gave them a quick wipe anyway.
  • The buds were working fine yesterday, so this issue came out of the blue!

Troubleshooting Steps Taken

  1. Checked the Charging Cable:

    • I tried different cables and power adapters, but the issue persists.
  2. Reseated the Buds:

    • I’ve removed and reinserted them in the case multiple times, making sure they hit the charging pins properly.
  3. Software Update:

    • I checked in the Samsung Wearable app for any software updates for my Galaxy Buds, but it says they’re up to date.

Questions I Have

  • Are there any hidden settings or reset options I might be missing?
  • Has anyone experienced the same problem, and how did you fix it?
  • Is it possible that the battery is completely dead, even if the case lights up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.

Conclusion

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions or experiences regarding this issue!

P.S. I might have overlooked something simple, so any little pointer can really help.

I’ve had similar issues! Have you tried checking whether the charging case is clean? Dust can block the connections.

Good point! I cleaned mine with a soft brush, but I still can’t get them to charge. What else could it be?

Make sure the cable you’re using is in good condition. I found that using a different charging cable helped me out a lot.

I thought it was the cable too! But it turns out my charging case was dead. Any tips on reviving it?

Sometimes letting the case charge for a bit longer can help. It might be that the battery is too low to start charging the buds!

That’s a good thought! I’ve left mine charging, but still no joy. Could this be a battery issue?

It could be! If the case won’t charge at all, consider a replacement. Samsung can sometimes provide help based on warranty.

For real! But also, try resetting your Galaxy Buds. Sometimes a reset can resolve charging issues.

How do I reset them? I haven’t done that before!

It’s simple! Just put them in the charging case, press and hold both touchpads for about 7 seconds. You’ll see the LED light flash.

Awesome, I’ll give this a try. If that doesn’t work, I’m definitely calling Samsung!

LOL, calling Samsung seems like the best move! I mean, what else can be done if you already tried everything?

Right? I’m seriously considering just getting a new pair if this doesn’t work.

Before going that route, it’s good to reflect on how long you’ve had them. Galaxy Buds usually last quite a while if taken care of.

True! They’ve been with me for some time now. Maybe it’s just their time to go?

Yep, batteries degrade eventually. But hey, at least it gives you an excuse to upgrade to the latest model!

Hey, have you tried checking for firmware updates? Sometimes they can really impact charging. You can do this through the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.

I had a similar issue, and updating the firmware solved it! Simply open the app, and it’ll let you know if there’s an update available.

How often do you all check for updates? I’ve had my Galaxy Buds for a while, and I don’t think I’ve updated them recently.
