The Defender is definitely sturdy, but I found that my last case with some built-in screen protector held up better under everyday use. OtterBox is great for serious drops though! Is it the best all-around case?
I think that’s subjective! While the Defender is fantastic for protection, there are cases that balance style and functionality better for light to moderate users. Just depends on your lifestyle!
Honestly, I just use a regular case with a good glass protector and call it a day! So far, it’s worked fine. Less bulk, too! But if I drop it, I might eat my words! Ha!

Yes, the OtterBox Defender does include a built-in screen protector. I’ve had mine for over a year, and it’s kept my screen scratch-free, which is a huge plus!
I personally love the OtterBox Defender, but I still prefer using a separate tempered glass screen protector. It feels more secure to me.
I agree with you, @davidwebster! I used the OtterBox Defender for a while, and while the built-in protector is great, I felt it didn’t provide that same clarity as my glass protector.
When it comes to screen protection, I say the more, the merrier! Besides, replacements for the glass protectors are cheaper than a new screen!
