Does Google Messages Lag if You Have Too Many Conversations?

I’ve tried clearing cache, but it doesn’t seem to help much. Maybe I just need a device upgrade?

Upgrading can definitely improve speed, but it’s worth troubleshooting your current device first. Sometimes, uninstalling unused apps can free up memory.

I remember a friend had to delete hundreds of texts to get his app working smoothly again. It’s wild how cumulative conversations impact performance!

Has anyone compared performance on different devices? I’m curious if flagship models handle heavy messaging better than budget models.

That’s a great point! I have an older phone, and lag is a constant issue for me. I’m sure newer models perform much better under stress.

Honestly, I sometimes wonder if Google Messages is just not optimized for older devices. Maybe it’s time for a change for me as well.

I try to keep my conversations limited, but with group chats, it’s really tough. I mean, who wants to miss out on the gossip, right?

Honestly, the idea of limited conversations sounds appealing, but I don’t think I could part with my memes! It’s too tough. :joy:

Right? Those memes are life! But reflecting on performance, it does make me consider what’s actually essential to keep around.

I’ve definitely noticed that Google Messages lags when I have too many conversations. It takes forever to switch between chats, and searching for specific messages is a real headache.

I completely agree! The lag can be so frustrating, especially when trying to find an important message quickly.

Totally! I find that when I have a lot of conversations, the app just crawls. It’s as if it’s saying, ‘Whoa, slow down!’

Exactly! I wish it would optimize better for users with heavy messaging needs.

The difficulty in navigating conversations really diminishes the overall experience. I can’t be the only one experiencing this annoyance, right?

You’re so right! Sometimes it feels like I’m battling the app instead of using it.

As a heavy user, I’ve heard that clearing cache might help with the lag. Has anyone tried it?

I’ve done that, and it helped a bit, but I still feel the lag kicking in again after some time.

The delays are super frustrating, especially when waiting for the app to catch up. It should be seamless, right?

I think Google needs to prioritize performance if they want to keep users happy. It’s time for an overhaul!

Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes I wonder if I have too many conversations going at once. Can we archive them somehow? Anyone know?
