I have my automatic updates turned off, yet I still face issues. Could there be something else at play?
That’s odd, dannyhebert. Sometimes third-party apps can override your settings. Have you noticed any new apps lately? 
I’ve heard of similar issues being related to malware. Maybe a full scan is needed just in case?

This whole app selector thing is so annoying! If I can’t figure it out soon, I’ll just switch to a flip phone!
